E.O. Goldfish was founded with a passion for fish. Since Most tropical fish can't survive the Oregon winters, and since I didn't have enough space indoors to breed fish (well, more than a couple at a time), I decided that I would breed goldfish since they can survive the harsh winters.
But I didn't want to settle for just one fish. So I gained interest in native fish of Oregon. They are obviously able to survive in the winters, but they are also compatible with the goldfish. So, E.O. Goldfish was born!
I also keep some varieties of tropical fish that can handle cooler temperatures such as dojo loaches or Japanese Rice fish. There are so many type of fish that are more suited to cooler temperatures that are relatively unknown in the hobby. That is something I want to change. Some of these fish are just as colorful as the common tropicals, and some are more interesting to watch. These fish are truly hidden gems of the hobby!
